Sense of Entitlement? Miley Cyrus? Nah.

Published by emilylynn at 4:23 pm under Annoyance, Mini Pop Tarts Edit This

As some of you may know, I think Miley Cyrus is a self important brat who needs to be taken down a few notches. That being said, I want to applaud the band Radiohead and here’s why: This particular incident happened at the Grammy Awards but I just heard about it the other day. Apparently, Miley Cyrus is a big Radiohead fan and heard that they, too, were performing at the awards ceremony and wanted to meet them. She had her people call their people to put in a request to go to their dressing rooms to meet the band. However, Radiohead’s policy is to not have anyone come to their dressing rooms and so they thanked Miley for being a fan but told her no.

Rejected

I don’t think it was meant as a personal slight against the pop tart; Radiohead is notorious for shying away from the public and press. However, Miley is used to getting whatever she wants. After all, Disneyland SHUT DOWN for her sixteenth birthday and Stephen Baldwin got a Hannah Montana tattoo so she took this very personally.

Clearly a drug-induced tattoo.

Miley Cyrus reacted in her usual mature way and went on a syndicated radio program, crying that the snub was so brutal and she was so upset. She then said, “I’m gonna ruin them, I’m gonna tell everyone!”

I’ll let that sink in for a moment.

Miley, Radiohead has been a band for longer than you’ve been in existance. They released their single “Creep” the same year Billy Ray and Tish had a few too many drinks one night and did some baby making. You are so insignificant on their radar that they couldn’t care less that you’re going to tattle on them. This isn’t the playground, Miley–lose the binky and be a big girl.

Radiohead released a statement after Miley’s radio appearance, saying, “When Miley grows up, she’ll learn to not have such a sense of entitlement.”

Thank you, Radiohead, for saying the same thing everyone else has been thinking.

My new favorite band.

In other Miley news, she has just recently released her “memoirs” in a book entitled Miles to Go.

Almost as bad as Twilight .

To save you the time and brain cells from reading the whole thing, here is an excerpt from her dopus opus:

After eating a filling breakfast of three babies, I left a couple “I hate you” messages on Nick Jonas’s cell phone. He keeps changing his number but luckily Disney gives me whatever I want so it doesn’t really matter. After that I took a shower and took a few fun pictures to send to Justin. He sent me a message back asking me to stop sending them–he doesn’t want his cell phone and computer confiscated by the FBI for child pornography again. Thank God Disney has such great lawyers! Speaking of Justin, that reminds me–I hope my period gets here soon otherwise I’m going to have to go to that underground Disney clinic again. It’s in my contract that I can’t be a Jamie Lynn Spears. Anyway, I’m off for the day! I’m going to post some anti-Radiohead flyers in their neighborhood. That’ll show ‘em.

I may have paraphrased a little.

    WOW.
    you are freakin’ hilarious.
even though i SOMETIMES have to watch her show.
    with my little sister.
even though miley cyrus, is clear that she is a
wanna-bee get everthing she wants kinda girl.
i must admit i am too.
both of my parents are lawyers.
as much as that fact was random,
    i am alot like her.
    she may be older,
    and a little less mature.
    than i am.
    but still, come on.
she’s a teenager, that is one of the most popular
stars. that comes with alot of pressure.
as funny as what you explained sounded.
i kind of really get where she’s comming from.
WHOO MILEY. ignore the press :)

It’s called the internet. Plus, I thought my fascination with all things Hollywood and pop culture was evident considering I created a blog about it.

    P.S. It’s spelled “anonymous.”
